Working in conjunction with other 501(c)(3) organizations the Temecula Valley Woman's Club is spearheading a Community Improvement Project to provide a therapy area for Rancho Damacitas, a long-term residential treatment center in the Temecula Valley. The 12-and-a-half acre campus lies east of Temecula and includes six cottages each providing a home for six children. These children have been removed from their homes by authorities because of neglect and abuse. Not only do these children carry with them the physical signs of abuse, but emotional and behavioral scars as well. Significant therapy is required to assist in their healing and recovery. The Temecula Valley Woman's Club two year project, already underway, is aptly named The Serenity Garden. It will provide an area where therapists can meet with the youth in a serene setting. A beautiful place where healing can begin.
