Women's Health Committee

Who We Are

The Women’s Health Committee of the Temecula Valley Women’s Club is dedicated to the health and happiness of the women in our club and community.

What We Do

We primarily work with Michelle’s Place, the only breast cancer resource center in all of Riverside County.  Michelle’s Place provides resources to women and their families battling breast cancer.

We also try to foster the good health of women in our club by planning activities such as healthy cooking lessons and group walks.  This year we will begin a series of informational meetings to help women in our club with specific needs related to aging, health, and caregivers.

For Michelle’s Place Breast Cancer Resource Center, we show our support by volunteering at many of the activities provided for the families of women suffering from breast cancer.  Some of these activities through the year are:  the Thriver Retreat, Health Fairs, Michelle’s Place Spring Fling fundraiser, Celebration of Life Golf Tournament, Party in the Park Backpack Program, Thanksgiving Meal Distribution, and a Christmas Party and “Santa Sack” Giveaway for the families.

The needs of Michelle’s Place and of the women fighting breast cancer are ongoing.  We regularly donate items, along with our time, to help support this wonderful resource center.  As a committee of Temecula Valley Women’s Club, we enjoy the rewarding work of helping others and having fun at the same time!

What We Support

This committee supports Michelle’s Place as well as other women’s health entities and causes.

Michelle’s Place Breast Cancer Resource Center has a program called “Wings of Hope” which includes a special group of donors who give a recurring donation of at least $10 per month.  If you would like to donate directly to Michelle’s Place, you can do so by going to their website at:  www.michellesplace.org.

Thank you in advance for your generosity!
