“Resilient Women Change Lives”
As the new president of the Temecula Valley Woman’s Club, I am so proud of what the ladies of our club have been able to accomplish over the years, but never more so than this past year. T.V.W.C. has contributed so much to our local community, and changed the lives of many. Challenged by the pandemic, our ladies had to be resilient in order to accomplish their goals. Some of the amazing work we’ve done this past year can be seen on the Committees tab above; it is inspiring. As we celebrate the success of our “Go Fund Me” fundraiser, I would also like to acknowledge the creative committee whose hard work and ingenuity made it possible. In 2020 for the first time in 35 years we were not able to hold our Annual Holiday Home Tour. The “Help Them Dream Big” fundraiser made it possible to continue to provide scholarships for our local high school students, which has always been a part of our Mission. The success of this fundraiser was due to their efforts, the support of our members, and many others in our community.
As we go forward in 2021, I know that resilience is not something you accomplish, but something you must continue to work on—it challenges each one of us to keep going. We have become a stronger club because we have learned new skills that can be used in so many ways going forward, and we have so much to look forward to. We hope to soon be able to meet in person, something that we have all missed. Until then, the friendships and bonds that we have made in working together virtually will help us to continue to change lives. I look forward to the road ahead and taking this journey with all of you.
Who We Are
The Temecula Valley Woman’s Club is an organization of women dedicated to assisting the communities within the Temecula Valley through fundraising and volunteerism. On the national level, we are a part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC.org), on the State level the California Federation of Women’s Clubs(CFWC.org), and on the regional level we are part of the DeAnza District (CFWCdeanzadistrict.org).
What We Do
Over the past 35 years, the Temecula Valley Woman’s Club has donated in excess of $3 million and our members have volunteered more than 1 million service hours.
We accomplish this through our internal network of committees and through our annual Holiday Home Tour and Gala. All fundraising proceeds go to charity; we have no paid employees.
Members are women of all ages and many different ethnic and professional backgrounds. Each member brings her own unique talents, skills and personality to our club and together we are a wonderful force for good in our communities. If you are looking for a place to exercise your sense of community and do some important work, please accept our invitation to become a member.
